In Malaysia, I don't think that netbook is widely use by our resident. Certain portion such as businessman only will use it. But, have you realise that most of the netbook using Windows XP SP3 only? Hmm... Actually is because their performance problem. It wouldn't say couldn't support Windows Vista. You may install it also but... I can say you can't stand on the tortoise netbook that time.
Newly, the brand new netbook, Toshiba mini NB205-N210 was the first received upgrade to Windows 7 RTM. It still under testing. Heard that the performance quite well too.
Worry on the driver problem? Not at all. This netbook's driver all supported. Once you finish the installation of your Windows 7 RTM, all the driver included there already.
Worry of the interface if you're using Windows 7 RTM on Toshiba mini NB205-N210? Not at all. The Flip 3D effect all supported without many hiccups.
